Jag träffade Anne Britton, från Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society på Harvard University, under den 22:a Elpub konferensen i Toronto nyligen. Hon var mycket intresserad av den senaste utvecklingen på Open Access området i Sverige och bad mig att sprida information om ett projekt som hon deltog i och som handlade om just informationsspridning av OA-utvecklingen i världen – Open Access Tracking Project (OATP).

This course is targeting repository managers, data archives managers, librarians, journal editors and publishers, data providers, research managers and administrators.
Objectives:
      Understand of the OpenAIRE infrastructure and content harvesting
      Identify the OpenAIRE guidelines metadata specifications, levels and OAI sets
      Define the levels of compatibility based on specific needs and technical context
      Identify and implement system configurations, tools and facilities for repository platforms
      Use the OpenAIRE validator tool for compatibility tests and registration

2. Open Access to publications in Horizon 2020: Moderated e-learning course and a webinar on May 9-13, 2016

5. Open Science Training for National Contact Points (NCP)

FOSTER and NCP Academy (the project in a nutshell) organise a series of webinars on topics of relevance to National Contact Points supporting Horizon 2020 applicants across the European Research Area (ERA).
The training webinars content is structured around FOSTER Open Science Learning Objectives for funders. NCPs are introduced to why and how Open Science can optimize impact and how to support Horizon 2020 applicants.

European Open Science Cloud for Research

Understanding the role of infrastructures in Europe’s Open Science Cloud initiative

 

OSC logos2Following a recent joint statement on the European Open Science Cloud for Research (EOSC) by EUDAT, LIBER, OpenAIRE, EGI and GÉANT, the second workshop, took place in Rome 5th February 2016, focused on understanding the roles of e-Infrastructures and Research infrastructures in this Europe’s Digital Single Market initiative. EOSC will offer 1.7 million European researchers and 70 million Science and Technology professionals a virtual environment for storage, management, analysis and data re-use – across borders and scientific disciplines. EOSC will be funded by the European Commission, and at the Rome workshop, 120 participants – including researchers, research infrastructure, and e-Infrastructures together with national and international service providers, data centre and research organisation strategists and decision makers – gathered to discuss potential governance models, sustainability and participants’ expectations.

Internationella Open Access-veckan, 19-25 oktober 2015

Temat för 2015 års Open Access Week är ”Open for Collaboration” och har som syfte att belysa hur samarbete både kan inspirera och utveckla oa-rörelsen, samt att utforska hur samverkan mellan olika brukargrupper kan bidra till att sätta standarder för tillgängliggörandet av vetenskaplig kommunikation.

På openaccessweek.org finns ännu enbart ett (1) evenemang i Sverige registrerat.

Programmet openaccess.se tar gärna emot information om andra planerade svenska evenemang under oa-veckan och inbjuder till att sprida denna information via bloggen.
